"These treatments are incredibly relaxing - a point worth bearing
in mind when arranging a treatment - try to create a window in your
day, so when you go home afterwards you can relax and feel the full
benefits of the treatment. By encouraging the release of stagnant
energy and restoring the energy flow to the body the treatments
result in a feeling of calm and balance throughout the whole mind
and body." |

Reflexology is a complementary
treatment used to treat the body as a 'whole' - mind, body and spirit.
Being far more than a foot massage, it is a series of specific pressure
techniques applied to precise areas of the feet which mirror the entire
body. It is neither curative nor diagnostic. Its purpose is to restore
the balance of the body and its systems. As the body rids itself of
toxins there may be some mild reactions resulting in an increased
activity of the eliminating systems. These are temporary and are an
indication that the treatment is effective. |

Aromatherapy combines essential
oils and massage, and has been used to promote health and restore
the balance between mind and body for around 8,000 years. It is a
full holistic treatment using acupressure points, working on lymphatic
drainage and neuromuscular massage.Using massage and essential oils
blended to the individuals needs, the therapist is able to provide
a treatment to restore mind, body and spirit. |

Sports Massage is designed to promote
rapid healing and aid complete recovery of tissues, to restore normal
function as quickly as possible. Massage increases the blood-flow
throughout the area being massaged improving lymphatic drainage, speeding
up the elimination of toxins from the muscles, relieving muscle tension
and stiffness and restoring normal function more quickly. This is
particularly beneficial after exercise. Massage prior to sport is
brisk and vigorous in order to warm the muscles and prepare them for
action. Post activity the massage is light to begin with, becoming
deeper as the muscles begin to soften.A full history of any injury
and or level of previous fitness will be required to enable the therapist
to plan your personal treatment. |

Swedish Massage promotes
a feeling of wellbeing and health; it relieves mental stress and increases
energy. When you are being massaged there is a feeling of being cared
for, relaxation and revitalization follows on from this. The effect
of massage is on the whole body and the mind. Helping to get rid of
tension from the muscles it relieves pain and stiffness. The blood
flows throughout the area being massaged, improving lymphatic drainage.
Massage is a treatment for anyone and everyone, you don’t have
to have a specific condition or reason, and in fact your body will
reap untold benefits through regular massage treatments. |

Lymphatic Drainage is an effective way to speed up the flow
of lymph in the lymph vessels. It increases the drainage of tissue
fluid. Helpful in the treatment of swelling of the tissues (oedema).

Indian Head Massage is a traditional Indian massage, developed
by Indian ladies over 1,000 years ago. Various oils were used according
to the season to keep their hair strong and lustrous. The massage
we know in the western world has been adapted to incorporate the upper
back, upper arms, shoulders, neck and face, all areas which become
sore with tension. Indian head massage re-balances the whole body.
The effect of the massage is to increase blood and lymph flow, nourishing
tissues, removing toxins and relaxing the muscles, which in turn takes
away tension and fatigue. The result is a feeling of relaxation and
invigoration. Any reactions are usually mild and temporary. |
